Jeremiah Harm Gets the Big Screen Treatment

Tero Kaukomaa and Timo Vuorensola, best known for their work on Iron Sky, are partnering with Arnold Rifkin's Cheyenne Enterprises and Ross Richie's BOOM! Studios to adapt the sci-fi graphic novel Jeremiah Harm into a feature film.

The story follows an intergalactic bounty hunter who's sent on a mission to Earth to track down a gang of space-faring criminals and the girl they kidnapped. The book takes place both in space and New York City, and the film aims to exude the feel of an '80s and '90s sci-fi actioner.

According to the filmmakers, they will be using a crowdsourcing model similar to the one they used for Iron Sky. What this means is that fans will actually contribute visuals and even join the production in small roles and as extras. Said Vuorensola, "I believe crowdsourcing is the way of the future in audience engagement in films -- both big and small ones  -- and it's here to disrupt the way films are experienced."

Kaukomaa, Rifkin and Richie will produce the film alongside The Corniche Group. Iron Sky director Vuorensola will direct, reports The Wrap.
