The Best-Selling Comics of October 2012

Marvel took the lead in both dollar and unit share for October 2012, according to Diamond Comic Distributors. They clocked in at 35.13% and 39.54% respectively, compared to DC's 31.51% and 34.40%. While that's a bummer for DC, the good news is that comics in general had a 20% increase in sales compared to September.

The top 10 best-selling comics of October are as follows:

  1. Uncanny Avengers #1 (Marvel)
  2. Avengers vs. X-Men #12 (Marvel)
  3. Batman #13 (DC)
  4. Justice League #13 (DC)
  5. A + X #1 (Marvel)
  6. Green Lantern #13 (DC)
  7. Detective Comics #13 (DC)
  8. AvX: VS #6 (Marvel)
  9. The Walking Dead #103 (Image)
  10. AvX: Consequences #1 (Marvel)

As for collections and graphic novels, the top 10 is:

  1. Superman: Earth One Vol. 2 HC (DC)
  2. Saga Vol. 1 TPB (Image)
  3. The Walking Dead Compendium Vol. 2 TPB (Image)
  4. The Walking Dead Vol. 1 TPB (Image)
