♦ by Unknown Wednesday, 19 September 2012 0 comments
TechCrunch reviewer MG Siegler calls OS X Mountain Lion “definitely the most polished and robust version of OS X yet,” adding: “If you liked Lion, you’ll love Mountain Lion.” Noting its “surprisingly good” app compatibility, Siegler touts the usefulness of many of the new features in Mountain Lion, including Notifications (“probably the best new feature”), Documents in the Cloud, and “the apps that have been ported over from iOS: Reminders, Notes, and Messages.” He concludes: “It’s hard to imagine how Apple will further refine OS X from here.”

Apple today announced that downloads of OS X Mountain Lion have exceeded three million in four days, making it the most successful OS X release in Apple’s history. With more than 200 innovative new features, Mountain Lion — the ninth major release of the world’s most advanced desktop operating system — is available through the Mac App Store as an upgrade to Lion or Snow Leopard users for $ 19.99 (US).
