Free Puzzle Game with BioShock Infinite Pre-Orders

♦ by Unknown Saturday 20 October 2012

Customers who pre-order BioShock Infinite will receive a bonus in the form of a free puzzle game. As revealed in pictures of a GameStop promotional ad posted on the NeoGAF forums, BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution is a digital game that lets players “experience over 50 levels of industrial puzzle mayhem” and lets them earn in-game items for BioShock Infinite.

“BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution is a Flash-based, BioShock Infinite-themed puzzle game exclusively available to those that pre-order the game before it releases on February 26, 2013,” the ad reads. “In this game, the player assumes the role of a factory worker within the sky-city of Columbia, and must complete increasingly difficult puzzles in order to support one of two factions: the Vox Populi or the Founders.”

The ad indicates that players will be able to access the game by redeeming a code on their pre-order receipt and that more information will be available on preordernow.com, which currently forwards to BioShock Infinite’s official site. Small text on the poster also indicates that in-game items will only be able to be redeemed through Industrial Revolution until August 26, 2013, at which point the game will no longer be available. For now, 2K and Irrational haven’t formally announced BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution, but we’ve reached out for more info and will update this story with any comment we receive.

Industrial Revolution is the third BioShock Infinite news item to emerge this week, following the reveal of two Collector’s Editions for the game as well as details on the BioShock Infinite board game. Expect an even better look at BioShock Infinite in the coming days as a new trailer is set to arrive any day now.
