Stallone: Nicolas Cage Joins The Expendables 3
♦ by Unknown Monday, 5 November 2012 Friday, 2 November 2012 Friday, 26 October 2012 Friday, 19 October 2012 0 comments
Following the worldwide box office success of The Expendables 2, Sylvester Stallone and his team are now moving forward on The Expendables 3, with Nicolas Cage joining the geriatric gang of action men, as first reported by JoBlo.
Sly recently hit up his official Facebook page to say a few (not entirely comprehensible) words on the film:
"We are preparing the film with the same passion and commitment as the previous two. We have confirmed Nicolas Cage, a master actor who gives a veneer intellectual group. Hopefully we can realize to Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Mickey Rourke. That is the great mission of the producer. We will continue with the same narrative scheme, the agility and the frenzy, which are inherent to the saga. What will definitely be the last? I can not guarantee. In principle it would be two deliveries, but the affection of the people encouraged us to work on a third. I guess as long as we amused ourselves by offering fun and people, we can continue playing 'The Expendables'. For now we are not as expendable as it should and as some critics want."
His word choice is a little iffy ("veneer intellectual group?"), but it does sound like the wheels are already turning on casting. Meanwhile, Adi Shankar's all-female Expendables riff is well underway, casting Gina Carano in a leading role back in September.

Skyfall Director and Writer Re-Teaming for Vampire Hunter TV Series
♦ by Unknown Monday, 5 November 2012 Friday, 2 November 2012 Friday, 26 October 2012 Friday, 19 October 2012 0 comments
Via Deadline, the co-writer of Skyfall, 007's 23rd film which is already garnering critical praise and smashing box office records overseas, along with the film's director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) are teaming again for a TV drama. But it's not another globe-trotting spy adventure.
John Logan (already signed on to write Bond 24 and 25) and Mendes have already sent out a script to premium cable networks for a vampire hunter "origin story set in the 1800s London in the vein of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen," starring such characters as Van Helsing and Doctor Frankenstein, who would be tracking down and killing vampires.

Skyfall Breaks Box Office Record in UK
♦ by Unknown Monday, 5 November 2012 Friday, 2 November 2012 Friday, 26 October 2012 Friday, 19 October 2012 0 comments
While his opening weekend box office trailed behind Harry Potter in the UK - by £2m - James Bond’s latest movie defeated the boy wizard over the course of its first week.
Indeed Skyfall had the biggest seven-day haul in British box office history, taking a whopping £37.2m from 587 screens. The film is now on course to be the biggest ever Bond in the UK.
In a statement, Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said “We are very grateful to the Bond fans and all UK cinema audiences for making Skyfall the biggest opening week ever during our 50th anniversary year."
Skyfall opens in the U.S. on November 9, so expect further Bond box office records to topple then.

Harvest Moon: A New Beginning Has Arrived!
♦ by Unknown Monday, 5 November 2012 Friday, 2 November 2012 Friday, 26 October 2012 Friday, 19 October 2012 0 comments
Today was an exciting day here at the IGN office, as we finally got our copy of Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. You can expect to see our full review show up on the 3DS page sometime in the next week or so, but in the meantime, enjoy the "unboxing" of sorts that took place upon the game's arrival.
Spoiler: It came with a giant cow. Whoa!
Can the poor little guy even BREATHE in there?! I better let him out quickly...
Free at last! Now for some moo-schief. I mean... mischief.
Of course, my little buddy here didn't come empty-handed.
A giant Mushroom for a giant cow plushie.
Smooshy (that's the cow's name now) was pleased to find he wasn't the only giant animal around town. I didn't have the heart to tell him that Stretch is actually rather small for a giraffe.
What the?! BAD Lion-O! Get off Smooshy this instant!
In one of the day's highlights, our big cow friend was welcomed as the moo-est member of the Justice League. Erm, newest (that was the last pun, promise).
Then again, giving a ride to an adorable anime girl wasn't so bad either...
Don't move... help is on the way!
After a hectic day at the IGN office, Smooshy treated himself to some arcade action.
What an exhausting day! You can get your hands on this cuddly ball of cow by pre-ordering Harvest Moon: A New Beginning from the Natsume store. The game's official release date is set for November 6, so hurry if you want to get in on the giant cow action.
Stay to to IGN for all things Harvest Moon.
